elbow to launch ‘build a rocket boys!’ beer

elbow are to launch their ‘build a rocket boys!’ beer at this year’s Manchester Food and Drink Festival http://foodanddrinkfestival.com . The band will personally be pulling the first pint at the festival on Thursday 13th October at 5.30pm (arrive early not to miss out!). ‘build’ will be available in both cask and bottle, alongside 10 other great Robinsons ales, at the main bar in Albert Square.

“We are excited elbow will be there to pull the first pint at the festival,” said a delighted John Robinson.  “This whole project reinforces the changes underway in our Brewery. Not only will our new brew house, currently in construction, give us scope to brew more innovative beers, we are also trying to change our image and appeal to a younger audience- ‘build’ has been a step in this direction for us and it seems to be working!”

Robinsons have also invited BBC chef Simon Rimmer to attend the festival from 1pm for cooking demonstrations, using ale as a key ingredient – including a dish using ‘build a rocket boys!’ beer. Simon Rimmer will be signing limited edition ‘cooking with ale’ recipe books.

“It’s sure to be a great day,” John Robinson, continues “elbow fans have been following the tweets and posts we’ve been sending out all the way through the brewing of ‘build’, so it will be nice for them to be part of the official launch.”

Robinsons have signed a 3-year deal to be sponsor partners for the Manchester Food and Drink Festival as part of endorsing their ambition to be the leading brewer in the North West.

The big question will be whether elbow’s ‘build’ wins the vote for best beer from the Robinsons cask ale festival running over the weekend – last year’s winner was Ginger Tom.
